The Vermont Filmmakers Forum was created by the Vermont Film Commission to support Vermont’s independent filmmakers by providing networking opportunities,hosting ongoing forums designed to better understand our filmmakers needs and working to answer those needs . From time to time the Vermont Filmmakers Forum sponsors educational seminars.

The Vermont Filmmakers Forum sponsors the annual Goldstone Award, a cash award to a Vermont Filmmaker. The Goldstone Award is given during the Vermont International Film Festival in Burlington, Vermont.
