The LEF foundation has long been a supporter of the arts through grants made from its California and New England offices.  For the upcoming year, the Foundation has made changes to its long-established Moving Image Fund grant program.  The Foundation has decided to award a smaller number of larger grants  and to focus on documentary filmmakers.  The Foundation has established a January, 2009 deadline for letters of intention to seek its grants in 2009.
