Warner Bros Studios and Senator Patrick Leahy are presenting a special screening of “The Dark Knight Rises” on Sunday, July 15, 2012 at the Majestic 10 Cinemas in Williston, VT. The proceeds of this screening benefits the Children’s Library in the Patrick Leahy Wing of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library!

Senator and Mrs. Leahy will be joined by Barry Meyer, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer, Warner Bros.; Kevin Tsujihara, President, Warner Bros. Home Entertainment Group; and Carol Melton, Executive Vice President, Global Public Policy, Time Warner Inc. Sponsors at the $1,000, $2,500 and $5,000 levels will be invited to a reception with Senator and Mrs Leahy and Barry Meyer at the Majestic Theater at 5pm.

Warner Bros. Pictures’ and Legendary Pictures’ “The Dark Knight Rises” is the epic conclusion to filmmaker Christopher Nolan’s Dark Knight trilogy. “The Dark Knight Rises” stars Christian Bale, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Anne Hathaway, Tom Hardy, Marion Cotillard, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, and Morgan Freeman. Christopher Nolan directed the film from a screenplay by Jonathan Nolan and Christopher Nolan, story by Christopher Nolan & David S. Goyer. Emma Thomas, Christopher Nolan and Charles Roven are the producers, with Benjamin Melniker, Michael E. Uslan, Kevin De La Noy and Thomas Tull serving as executive producers, and Jordan Goldberg co-producing. “The Dark Knight Rises” is based upon Batman characters created by Bob Kane and published by DC Comics.

This will be Senator Leahy’s fourth appearance in a Batman film. He had cameo roles in two Batman feature films and a minor speaking role in “The Dark Knight.” He has had a lifelong affinity for the Batman legend that dates back to his youthful summertime reading at home and at the Kellogg-Hubbard Library in Montpelier. Senator Leahy donates all of his fees from these films to the Children’s Wing of the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. The library also receives all of his royalty checks from residual showings of the films.
