Bill Simmon is an award-winning filmmaker with more than 15 years of experience in all aspects of the production and post production processes. He has worked professionally as a director of photography, an editor, a producer and a director of corporate, industrial and commercial videos. His particular expertise is in cinematography and editing, but he is also proficient in the grip/electric and sound departments.

Bill has worked as a DP for many professional clients, including: Ben & Jerry’s, Seventh Generation, Eating Well Magazine, Technology Review Magazine (for MIT), IBM, Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, Dean for America, Kingdom County Productions and Propeller Media Works. He has edited pieces for the VT Dept. of Corrections, Hingtgen for Lt. Governor, It’s a Fine Mess Productions and many other clients.

Bill can produce projects from soup to nuts, utilizing his extensive knowledge of and access to Vermont-based talent, locations and equipment. He has produced or co-produced pieces for clients such as: Middlebury College, Spectrum Youth & Family Services, The Vermont Episcopal Diocese, Untold Stories of the ER (TLC show) and the Vermont Dept. of Health.

Bill is also an experienced television technical director with more than ten years of live television production under his belt.

Currently, Bill is employed as the Production Manager at VCAM (www.vermontcam.org) and teaches filmmaking at local colleges and high schools.
