Off The Grid Productions is Vermont filmmaker Nora Jacobson's production company based in Norwich, Vermont. We shoot edit, produce and write feature films and documentaries (www.offthegridproductions and www.nothinglikedreaming.com).

Nora Jacobson produced, directed and edited two award winning feature films "My Mother's Early Lovers", (Jury Award, Film Fest New Haven, Audience Award, Maine International Film Festival) and "Nothing Like Dreaming" (Best in Fest, Lake Placid Film Festival.)

She also produced directed, shot and edited the feature documentary "Delivered Vacant" (New York Film Festival, Sundance, Golden Gate Award, San Francisco International Film Festival).

Currently Off The Grid Productions is producing the collaborative film, "Freedom & Unity: The Vermont Movie". (www.thevermontmovie.com).

We are working with Fire Circle Films on a new feature film, "The Hanji Box", about international adoption in South Korea (www.firecirclefilms.com).

We are also working with Diana Levine from Re-bop records on a new cooking and music show destined for television, geared towards young people.

Nora Jacobson has an MFA from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and a BA from Dartmouth College. She is the recipient of a Guggenheim Fellowship, a National Endowment of the Arts Media Fellowship, a Lef Foundation grant, among other grants and awards. She is one of the founders of White River Indie Film, a film festival in White River Junction (www.wrif.org).
